Carolina, a white woman, is sitting on a stool. She is smiling at the camera holding her chin with her hand. She is wearing red lipstick, dark colours, and a pony tail to the side of her shoulder

I am a dancer, somatic practitioner, educator, and scholar. As a practicing artist, I create work with an aesthetic of access, meaning that accessibility is considered as a starting point and creative possibility, rather than an afterthought or an add-on. This work informs the growing fields of critical disability studies, accessible arts-based education, and curriculum studies.

I am an Assistant Professor in the School of Education and Health at Cape Breton University, Canada. I am currently working on researching the pedagogical aspect of Audio Description for live performances.
